Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in.

2. No Third-Party Trackers

HDN Sport Network does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. As of the date of this policy, there is no Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, PostHog, Hotjar, or any equivalent tracking service installed on this site. We verified this on 1 August 2026.

Because we use no tracking or advertising cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Every cookie we set is strictly necessary for the site to function.

3. Cookies We Set

The following table lists every cookie set by HDN Sport Network.

hdn_portal_sessionHTTP-only, 7 days

Strictly necessary

Set when you sign in to the subscriber portal via a magic link. Contains a signed JWT that identifies your subscription session. Without this cookie the portal cannot verify your identity. It expires after 7 days or when you close the browser, whichever comes first.

hdn_adminHTTP-only, session

Strictly necessary (admin only)

Set when the site operator signs in to the admin panel. Only relevant to site staff. Not set on customer-facing pages.

4. Session Storage

We use browser session storage (not a cookie) to hold one item:

hdn_utmsessionStorage, browser tab lifetime

Functional

If you arrive via a tracked link (e.g., an ad or a social media post), campaign parameters (UTM source, medium, campaign, term, content) are stored here. This value is captured once per browser tab and is cleared when the tab closes. It is included in your Stripe checkout session metadata so we can measure which campaigns are effective. It is not shared with third-party advertising platforms.

5. Our Commitment

If we ever add analytics, advertising, or any non-essential cookie or tracking technology, we will:

  • Update this Cookie Policy before the technology goes live.
  • Deploy a consent gate in the same code change that introduces the tracker.
  • Not load the tracker until you have given explicit consent.

This commitment is intended to be checked at code review time: any PR that adds a third-party script should trigger an update to this page and a consent mechanism as a condition of merge.
